What is it like to go to an all-girls school? The best way to know is to spend some time here ... shadow a student ... go to classes ... talk to the teachers ... ask questions about the schedule; ask how much homework you might expect; ask about the music and dance and fine arts programs, the team sports, the food, the extracurricular opportunities, anything at all ... just ask! When you leave, you'll have a much better idea of what Hockaday is all about and if it's right for you.

The following are ways to visit:

ADMISSION PREVIEW
The Admission Previews are offer an opportunity for the whole family to visit Hockaday. You may talk with students and faculty and take a tour of the campus. Your guide will be a current student who will share her experiences at Hockaday with you. We also have several students who speak about their particular grade level. If you have questions about Hockaday or the admission process that you'd like to ask the admission staff, they'll be available as well.

Hockaday is the largest independent girls' school in the country, and it is one of only a few boarding schools in the state of Texas. Hockaday's campus extends over 100 acres of open fields and wooded creeks in northwest Dallas. A non-profit corporation, Hockaday is directed by a Board of Trustees who represent alumnae, parents, and the community. The school receives support from approximately 6,000 graduates and former students through the Alumnae Association.
