Hockaday has had an incredible year in athletics this year -- five SPC Championships, the State Champions for Lacrosse and eight commitments to college athletic programs. In the fall, Hockaday's field hockey team scored its first-ever Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC) championship win.  In the winter SPC tournament, Hockaday athletes came home with a "triple crown," winning championships in basketball, soccer, and swimming and diving.  It was the first time for Hockaday and for an SPC all-girls team to sweep a championship tournament.   In spring SPC competition, Hockaday golfers won the conference championship for the third year in a row.

Most recently, Hockaday lacrosse, going into the state championship game as second in SPC, came home with the Texas State Division I championship title.  This year marks the first time Hockaday has won the state championship.

As one of the four cornerstones, athletics play an important role in the lives of many Hockaday students.
