School Day

The school day begins at 8:00am for eighth grade residents and 8:30am for Upper School residents.  A full breakfast is served each morning in the dining room and hall kitchens are stocked with quick breakfast items for those who want to eat and run.

After School

The school day ends at 3:15 and 4:00pm.  Life after school is really not too different from most day students. From 4:00pm to 6:00pm, you first check in with our Dorm Parent, and head to an athletic or performing arts practice, community service project, or you may have some free time to do laundry, hang with friends at a local restaurant or coffee shop, watch television, practice your music, or work with a tutor. Then it's time for dinner.

Afterwards, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, students in Grades 8 through 11 have a required study hall. Underclassman go the Library, and senior residents have the privilege of studying in their room.

From 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, you can visit friends on other halls, take a shower, watch television, hang out, Skype friends or family, or do whatever appeals to you. It might be a little more structured; but basically, it's pretty much like home.

Weekend

There are a lot of activities from which to choose on the weekends - from festivals, to concerts, cultural and athletic events and more.  The Residence Life Program is committed to providing opportunities for both on and off campus activities and events.

Favorite Spots Close to Campus

While we live in a residential neighborhood, we have easy walking access to local spots like Sonic, Starbucks, Chick-Fil-A, Rusty Taco, Einstein’s Bagels, Liberty Burger, Karen Dillard SAT/ACT Prep, Picasso’s, Lowe’s, Petco and a Comerica Bank.
