Hockaday vs Highland Park

It was a great team effort tonight by the Hockaday Varsity field hockey team.  They defeated Highland Park 7-0 with five different players scoring goals.  Lucia Ubinas put Hockaday in a lead first with a goal assisted by Thandi Chisango and Jayna Khatti.  Olivia Oh scored next assisted by Taylor Hua.  Hua found the back of the goal to end the first quarter off of a give and go corner assisted by Khatti.  Lily Brown had a goal and assist in the second quarter while Ubinas put another one in assisted by Mae Flanagan.  The team was held scoreless in the 3rd quarter, but Flanagan responded with two goals in the 4th quarter with one assisted by Chisango.  Rachel Manley earned a shutout in the goal with five saves.  Defenders Ellie Browne and Caroline Warlick did a great job of stepping up and keeping the ball on our attack.  The team is back in action on Friday as they begin counter game play versus Casady.
