Does Hockaday have an Honor Society?
A.
Hockaday is part of the Cum Laude Society - Ela Hockaday Chapter. Membership is by invitation only. Nomination guidelines include the student's GPA, no quarter grade below a C-, and the strength of the student's academic program.

What is the policy on computer laptops in the Upper School?

All students in grades 6-12 are required to purchase a laptop through Hockaday. Please visit our

Are cell phones allowed on campus?
A.
They are allowed on campus, but they may be used only outside during lunch. They must be on silent or vibrate at all other times.
Q.
Are students permitted to leave campus for any reason?
A.
Seniors may have off-campus privileges and are allowed to leave campus during conference period, lunch and free periods.
Q.
What constitutes getting detention and how is it served?
A.
Students get detentions for minor infractions as stated in the student handbook. Detentions are served on Friday after school and on Saturday mornings at 8 a.m.
