  • Activities & Events

    No indoor large-group gatherings or events are allowed. Group activities have been reimagined to take place outdoors or in a virtual space.
  • After-School Programs

    After-care programs are available only to Hockaday faculty and staff; this decision will be revisited as conditions change and more services can be offered safely.
  • Athletics

    Middle School Practice: Monday through Thursday from 4:00-5:00pm
    Upper School Practice: Monday through Friday from 4:30-5:30pm
    Pick Up – Forest Lane Entrance Lower School
  • Carpool

    Each Division has separate locations for drop-off and pick-up, as well as staggered times for arrival and dismissal to avoid large gatherings. For the health and safety of faculty and staff, parents must wear face masks when dropping off and picking up students.
  • Face Coverings

    Face coverings are required for everyone on campus.
  • Health Center

    Dedicated Heath Center space is offered for well child and adult care and student medication, separate from sick care.

  • Health Screenings

    Parents are to assess their children’s health before arrival daily via an app, and everyone who comes onto campus each day receives a temperature check. Click HERE for COVID-19 Illness and Quarantine Guidelines.
  • Lunch

    The process and location for dining has been changed in each Division to reduce the number of students congregating in the cafeteria or other locations.
  • Safe & Clean

    Regular hand washing is required, hand sanitizer is accessible, new cleaning protocols are in place, and the number of people in shared spaces has been limited.
  • Supplies & Uniforms

    Lockers will not be in use; students will use backpacks and individual supply kits as needed. Wearing gym shoes and PE shorts under jumpers/skirts is required.
  • Visitors & Volunteers

    Parents, guests, and visitors are not permitted on campus. Tutors, therapists, and learning specialists will interact with students virtually or off campus.
  • Social Distancing

    Social distancing has been maintained with new classroom locations and layouts, hallway traffic patterns, changes to dining, and new measures for recess and PE.
