Kathy Fechtman is the Hill Wellness Center supervisor and has worked at Hockaday since 2003. In addition to managing the Wellness Center, she assists both students and faculty/staff with their fitness programs as well as teaching a variety of group fitness classes. She is also a strength and conditioning coach working with the sports teams in a newly launched strength and conditioning program to improve Hockaday’s athletic sports performances. New to this academic year, she will be teaching 8th grade PE and upper school strength and conditioning.
Prior to working at Hockaday, she worked at T Bar M Tennis Club and the Town North YMCA as a Personal Fitness Trainer. Kathy holds a degree in advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. She returned to school in 2014 focusing on health, fitness for all ages and levels and sports conditioning. She has earned her Advanced Personal Fitness Training certification through ACE (American College of Exercise) and her CSCS certification through the National Sports and Conditioning Association prior to this academic school year.
Kathy is passionate about fitness and health and loves helping both students and adults reach their fitness goals.
