| Athletics Signing Day Hockaday will celebrate our student athletes who have committed to play intercollegiate athletics on February 26 from 3:00–4:00 pm in The Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger Family Theater Color Run Please come out to support the Hockaday Athletics Community COLOR RUN (1 mile course) on Wednesday, March 27! The color run will begin at 4:30 pm, and all Hockaday students, faculty, staff, and families are invited to participate. Register here by signing the waiver. All Lower School and Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent either in the run or at the start and finish line. A food truck and Steel City Pops will be available for purchase. 8th Grade Learn to Row Clini Hockaday Athletics will offer an introduction to rowing for current 8th grade students interested in rowing in Upper School. With 35 rowers currently on the team, and a new racing shell arriving this spring, tremendous momentum is building behind Hockaday Crew. Head Coach Will Forteith has also enjoyed teaching many of the current 8th graders in Speech & Debate this year. On Friday, March 29 from 3:15-4:30 pm there will be an introduction to rowing overview and a swim test. On Saturday, April 6 Coach Forteith and Hockaday Crew Coaches will lead a Learn-To-Row class from 9:00 am - 11:30 am at Bachman Lake for those students who took the swim test on Friday, March 29. More information will be sent via email to 8th Grade famiies.
