Math Club Competes at the Mathematics Contest

Twenty members of the Math Club represented Hockaday at the 16th Annual Metroplex Mathematics Contest at The Oakridge School in Arlington, Texas. Congratulations to the following students for placing: Lucy Young – 1st place Algebra I Open; Shinjini Mukherjee- 2nd place (tied with Cistercian) Algebra I Open; Kuylee Kim – 1st place Algebra II Closed; Angelina Wu; 3rd place (tied with Science & Engineering Magnet) Algebra II Open; Kelsey Chen – 1st place Pre-calculus Closed; Hope Fu – 3rd place Pre-calculus Open; Clara Shi – 2nd place Pre-calculus Open.

The Hockaday team, made up of Kelsey Chen, Hope Fu, Shinjini Mukherjee, Clara Shi, Angelina Wu, and Jennifer Xiong, took 2nd place in the team competition.
