Jennifer Stimpson Recognized as STEM Rock Star at IF/THEN Summit

Leading educational innovation in the classroom, Fifth Grade Science Teacher Jennifer Stimpson participated in the three-day IF/THEN Summit as one of the top 10 “STEM rock stars” and participated in training sessions about communication, media and public relations, social media, and storytelling for STEM educators. Created by Lyda Hill Philanthropies, the IF/THEN initiative is committed to supporting women in STEM so that they can change the world. The Summit concluded with “An Evening of Science and Storytelling” with Lyda Hill ’60, CEO of Lyda Hill Philanthropies Nicole Small ’91, Academy Award winner Geena Davis, and oceanographer and National Geographic Explorer in Residence Dr. Sylvia Earle. This innovative group will work to support the IF/THEN campaign by creating a cultural shift of the perception of women in STEM. Hockaday is proud to be a founding partner with the IF/THEN Ambassadors program and support women in STEM! Read more at https://dallasinnovates.com/if-then-summit-convenes-nationwide-female-stem-role-models-in-dallas/
