Third Grade Learns Sustainable Farming

Third Grade students visited Bonton Farms and Feed My Starving Children as a connection and volunteer opportunity for their Social Impact theme, Hunger.
Third Grade students visited Bonton Farms and Feed My Starving Children today as a connection and volunteer opportunity for their Social Impact theme, Hunger. Students learned more about sustainable farming in the community and its benefits to people living in food deserts. This is a tie to their own “Third Grade Giving Garden,” in which they are growing cabbage to donate to The Joppy Momma’s Farm in the spring. They also helped pack over 57 boxes of Manna Packs at Feed My Starving Children, providing over 12,000 meals and feeding 88 children for a year in Panama!
