Seniors Honored with Founder's Day Awards

Congratulations to our four Founder’s Day awardees - Zoya Haq, Ava Tribolet, Lola Isom, and Elle Chavis!
During this long-held tradition, Founder’s Day gives us a chance to reaffirm Hockaday’s commitment to the Four Cornerstones of Character, Courtesy, Scholarship, and Athletics on which Miss Ela Hockaday founded this incredible School.
The recipients are honored because of the thoughts and observations of their classmates, teachers, advisors, and administrators who believe they fully exemplify the ideals of our founder, Miss Hockaday.  The Student Council established the award during the 1958-1959 school year—45 years after the school was founded. This award ceremony, which is traditionally held as close as possible to Miss Hockaday’s March 12 birthday, remains largely unchanged over the last 64 years, with personal citations read about each of the award recipients and remarks from the President of the Alumnae Association.
Thank you to Kelsey Swingle Robertson ‘05, President of the Alumnae Association, and Nicole Stewart ’97, our Founder’s Day speaker.
