Centennial Campaign Donors Make The Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger Family Center for the Arts a Reality

Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of donors, The Hockaday School has opened The Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger Family Center for the Arts. The incredible Center features the state-of-the-art Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger Theater with The Ed Long Stage given by The Eugene McDermott Foundation and Hoffman Lobby given by Marguerite Steed Hoffman. Read more

Outside of the Center, our community is treated to the Margaret Doggett Crow Amphitheater given by Kathy and Harlan Crow, surrounded by the Margaret Doggett Crow ’37 Ginkgo Grove given by Lucy Crow Billingsley ’71, Lucy Billingsley Burns ’98, and Anne Sumner Billingsley ’05.

Inside the Center all of the Fine Arts disciplines have new spaces: The Kelli and Gerald J. Ford Orchestra Hall, The Ann Graves Choir Hall, The Lacerte Family Black Box Theater, The Horchow Family Scene Shop, The Dondero Painting Studio, The Madison Kaminski ’14 Dressing Room, The Judy Austin Neuhoff Middle School Music Room, the Middle School Drama Room given by Dawn and Toby Grove, Lutz Tech Street given by Dana and Thomas Lutz, and a gorgeous new Ceramics Studio.

On the crossway from the Upper School to the new Center, the Ann Bower ’67 Gallery will show off our students’ visual arts projects throughout the year.
