Hockaday Students Receive Awards at the NTARUPT Student Film Contest

The student film contest was held at the Angelika Theater, and in creating their films, the students responded to the contest theme -Teen Pregnancy: Your Perspective. Allison Cooper ‘20 was awarded third place for “Goodbye.” Phoebe Knag ‘20 and Louisa Lindsley ‘20 both received Honorable Mention for their films, “What You’ll Never Know,” and “Baby.” After receiving their awards, Allison, Phoebe, and Louisa participated in a panel discussion with the three other awardees: Shamonica Cooper, a senior from Lincoln High School, Alex Poscente, a senior from Booker T. Washington HS for Performing Arts, and Jack Jelinek from Richardson High School. Gloria Compos, award-winning journalist, led the discussion.
