Alumnae Weekend 2018

The Hockaday School welcomed close to 800 alumnae and guests to campus for Alumnae Weekend, Thursday, April 26 – Saturday, April 28. Meg Allen Temple ’88 served as the Alumnae Day Chair, and Fallyn Gray Jones ’01 served as the Alumnae Day Chair-Elect. The festivities were kicked off by the Alumnae Board of Visitors Annual Meeting on Thursday. Friday’s activities included the Alumnae Day Luncheon that celebrated reunion classes ending in “3” and “8”. The following Alumnae Association Awards were also presented at the Luncheon:

  • Sarah Traphagen, PhD, Upper School English Teacher

 Honorary Alum Award
  • Kevin Brady, Upper School Ceramics Teacher
  • Vickey Thumlert, Director of Activities
 Hockaday Medal Award
  • Nancy A. Nasher ’72
Additionally, the Alumnae Day Luncheon honored beloved teacher Ed Long, who will retire this month after 47 years at Hockaday. Alumnae Weekend concluded on Saturday with the Affinity and Special Interest Group Break and the Alumnae Family Picnic.
