JV Soccer's Strong Season

The Hockaday JV Soccer Team had an incredible playing season with a very tough schedule. JV Soccer Coach Luis Aldaba recalls telling the players at the beginning of the season that they had the potential to be a great team and turn some heads by accomplishing amazing things. They exceeded his expectations, as demonstrated in their strength when playing Highland Park, last year’s State Champions. The match ended in a 0 – 0 draw.  Shea Castleman netted more than 20 goals this past season, and Gabby Evans had a fantastic season in goal, recording loads of shut outs.  All of the players on Hockaday's JV Team made a name for themselves and conceded only a handful of goals the entire season. The coaches are proud of how each individual player learned a great amount of skill and applied it to the field. With the season ending in a record of 15-1-1, it was “one of the best seasons I’ve seen in my 13 years at Hockaday” notes Coach Aldaba.
