Adoette Vaughan Breaks Personal Records

Adoette Vaughan (Class of 2019) began her spring break competing at the Lovejoy Spring Distance Festival hosted by Lovejoy High School on Saturday, March 10. She ran the nation's top time in the 2k steeplchase while also breaking her own school record with a time of 6:56.77! Please help us congratulate Adoette on this amazing accomplishment! Her hard work is continuing to show and making a mark on the national Track and Field scene!

After a long weather delay, Adoette lined up for a soggy Elite Girls 1600 m race at the Texas Distance Festival hosted by Southlake High School on Saturday, March 17. Adoette ran a smart race by settling into the front pack and she moved smoothly into the top four as the pack split by the end of the second lap. She continued to move through the pack and finished strong for second place personal record time of 4:55.61, which breaks her own school record! Her time ranks her #2 in Texas and #12 in the USA!
