Auxiliary Programs

Auxiliary Programs at Hockaday offers enrichment services for Hockaday students and the greater Dallas community. Summer at Hockaday, FALL FUN, SPRING FUN, and the Private Music Lessons Programs extend academic and recreational opportunities to girls and boys to try new things, dive deeper into personal interests, and make new friends – all within a safe, secure, and nurturing environment.

Spring Fling

Spring Fling 2018, offered by Hockaday’s Auxiliary Programs, will launch on Saturday, February 3! Classes are led and taught by Summer at Hockaday teaching staff and are offered to girls and boys, ages 5 and up. Classes begin Saturday, February 3 and continue through Saturday, May 12. We’d love to your child spend a Saturday morning with us!

Winter & Spring 2018 Classes

Beginning & Intermediate Biking
Saturdays, February 3 – May 12*
9:00 – 10:30 am (Space is limited to 12 students)
*Class will NOT meet February 17, March 17, March 31, April 14

Coach Stewart Ball and his staff of coaches have taught hundreds of children to ride a bike. Let us teach your child to ride in this great, low pressure, fun class! Already a bike rider? Come join us as we emphasize how to safely handle a bike over various terrains, using the Hockaday campus. All you need is a bike, helmet, and water bottle.

Minecraft U Jam Sessions
Designated Saturdays: 2/10, 3/3, 4/7, 4/21, 5/12
10:30 a.m. - Noon

Minecraft U JAM Sessions will take you to the next skills level! What do you want to master? Redstone, modding, ComputerCraft (programming), building castles - all these and more will be part of our new intensive Minecraft U JAM at Hockaday. We'll help you build new skills in both creative and survival mode, plus you'll get a chance to explore and add to our beautiful MCU domain - on our whitelisted (controlled access) server. Sign up no - enrollment in the JAM sessions is limited and will fill quickly!

Register for one week or for all weeks – register and attend for classes that fit your family’s schedule. Classes take place at The Hockaday School on the Forest Lane side of campus. Biking and Minecraft teachers will be there to greet you. At the time of registration, you will receive an email with further details regarding drop-off, pick-up, and what to bring.

Due to limited class size, a registration is a commitment to the class. Payment is due in full at the time of registration. Refunds will not be given for cancellations. Class transfers, if available, are allowed. If Hockaday cancels a class and a transfer to another class is not available, a refund will be given.
Please Note – your child does not have to be a student at The Hockaday School to participate!

Summer at Hockaday 2018

Summer at Hockaday invites girls and boys, age 3 through entering 10th grade, to experience academics and fun in a nurturing environment. As a camper or student, you will have a great time making new friends while you participate in sports, the arts, technology, academics, and much more. Come learn from the best educators in the Dallas area. We have a camp or class just for you!
