    Bio
     
    After completing a Master of Music in Choral Conducting at Southern Methodist University, Abi Poe returns to Hockaday full time as the Middle and Upper School Choral Director. Originally serving the School as the Communications Officer, she has remained active on the Fine Arts faculty as the Music Director of the Upper School Show Choir and the Hockappella A Cappella Ensemble while she completed her degree. Abi's background in Music Performance and Choral Conducting is extensive and includes serving as the Compline Assistant Conductor at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, a Graduate Assistantship at SMU, Executive Director and Artist for Bridge the Gap Chamber Players, Founder and President of the SMU Belle Tones Female A Cappella Ensemble, and she maintains her own private flute studio to teach and tutor students. In addition to earning a Master of Music from SMU, Abi holds a Bachelor of Music, summa cum laude, in Flute Performance from SMU.

    Bio
     
    Kim Pondrom joins Hockaday as Associate Director of College Counseling, bringing a student-centered approach to her work and combining her passion for higher education with her love of helping young people shape their futures. She spent five years at Southern Methodist University as a Senior Admission Counselor and Associate Director of Recruitment for the Lyle School of Engineering, while simultaneously earning a Master of Science in Counseling from SMU. At SMU, Kim managed a recruitment territory of over 150 public and private schools, in Dallas and throughout the country. Most recently she served as Co-Director of College Counseling at Trinity Valley School. Kim is active within the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC), where she served as a Master Teacher for the statewide Admission and College Counseling Institute for new college admission professionals, and she currently leads professional development workshops for Texas counselors in seven cities. She also commits her time to the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). She holds a Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University, a Master of Science from Southern Methodist University, and she is a licensed professional counselor.
