Gaby Moss

Gaby Moss joined the Hockaday community in 2023 as the Head Varsity Basketball coach. Prior to joining Hockaday, she coached for Dallas-based AAU organizations Drive Nation and JAB Hoops. Throughout her career, Coach Moss has coached athletes in elementary through college, across Texas, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, and Arkansas.

 

Coach Moss played Division I basketball at Georgia State University on a full scholarship, serving as team captain and earning a Bachelor of Business Administration. After graduating a year early, she transferred to Savannah State University to play her final year of basketball and complete her Master of Business Administration, also serving as team captain.

 

Coach Moss's mission is to develop and support a new era of mentally, emotionally, and physically well athletes. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes holistic player development and fostering a supportive environment where each individual contributes. Central to her approach are values such as curiosity, integrity, respect, and discipline. Coach Moss is thrilled to join Hockaday and create a legacy of excellence that transcends the game of basketball.

 

Having grown up in a military family, Coach Moss loves to travel and explore new cultures and experiences. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
