Coach Anthony Mann comes to Hockaday after several years of coaching at Ursuline Academy that resulted in several state individual champions as well as several state track championships. Coach Mann is a well-known track and field coach across America he is a USATF Certified track and field coach and is known as one of the best.  He has helped guide the Hockaday Varsity Track and Field team from the bottom to one of the most competitive track and field teams in the SPC, resulting in a runner up finish in 2016 and a state championship in 2017.  He attended Ouachita Baptist University where he majored in Kinesiology and Physical Education and later, he completed his education majoring in Organizational Management at Paul Quinn College in Dallas Texas.  Coach Mann has coached over 25 Junior National Track and All Americans as well as several Junior Olympic national track champions, with the likes of Jason Richardson, the 2012 World hurdle champion and silver medalist in the Olympics.  Finally, he trained and developed Head Track coach Laboris Bean for the Olympic trials.
