Ohlenforst specializes in evidence-based intervention for children and adolescents struggling with anxiety disorders and in providing consultation to parents of youth struggling with worry, stress, and a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns. In her talk, Dr. Ohlenforst will help parents better understand how to identify and address signs of anxiety in children in our fast-paced, high-pressure world. She’ll provide concrete tools for responding to your child’s worries and share proactive parenting strategies for addressing your child’s anxiety before it becomes acute. Having trained at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Stanford School of Medicine’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic, Dr. Ohlenforst believes passionately that attending to your child’s mental health is integral to developing a whole and healthy child. Additionally at this meeting, the counseling departments of St. Mark’s and Hockaday will be highlighted along with the services they offer to the families at both schools.
