Arturo Velazquez started coaching as the Middle School softball assistant in 2018.  He works at Hockaday in the Maintenance Department where he does so much for the school.  His primary responsibilities are training new bus drivers and maintaining the transportation fleet. 

After playing baseball in high school, Arturo played amateur baseball in Dallas for five years where he was a pitcher and first baseman.  He has three children and helped coach their softball and baseball teams as they were growing up.
