MS Track @ Hockaday

Hockaday had a beautiful day to host the Middle School Track and Field Meet on Tuesday.  The meet ran smoothly thanks to the help of the Upper School Track Team.  Our girls started the meet well with top finishes in the both the Long Jump and Pole Vault.  Avery Jackson and Addison London went 1st and 2nd in the Long Jump. Our Pole Vaulters (Jaden Thomas, Ryan Brown, MC Murray, and Maison Reese) went 1-4 after only having one practice at that event!  Caroline Petrikas started our running events with a 2nd place finish in the 3200M.  Our 4 x200 relay team of Maia Hartley, Zariah Arrington, Avery Jackson, and Jaden Thomas won the event.  Susu Campbell continued placing in the running events with a 2nd place finish in the 800M.  The rest of our 800M runners all received personal best times in that event!  Addison London was our best finisher in the 100 Hurdles, and Zariah Arrington was our top finisher in the 100M with the best time of 13.80.  Addison London was also our top finisher in the 400M, with Lola Isom, Riley London, and Stella Kozielec all getting personal best times for the season in that event.  It was a great afternoon of racing for all the girls with many personal bests times recorded.  We have one more meet next Thursday at Parish before we go to the League Championship meets.
