Samantha Alkadi has been fencing and coaching for 27 years in the United States and Canada. Samantha was a varsity Dean’s honor roll student, varsity women’s fencing team captain, 5-time varsity finalist, 2-time Douglas Trophy (fencer of the year) recipient at Brock University, as well as a provincial championships gold medalist and national competitor.

Coach Sam thoroughly enjoys communicating her love of fencing through coaching athletes ages 6 through high school from recreational through national competitive levels. Coach Sam is a certified Fencing Coach with the United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA), has held coaching roles across multiple fencing clubs, and is a certified USA Epee referee.

Sam is also a Texas certified K-6 teacher with Frisco ISD. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors degree in Sociology. She was an ESL professor and instructional specialist at Dallas College Richland and North Lake campuses for 12 years. Samantha was nominated Teacher of the Year by students and her peers at Richland, and was also awarded two innovation in leadership awards at the state and national levels.
