ISAS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Conference

Hockaday is proud to share that the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) is holding its first conference dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion on our campus. The conference will include over eighty educators from independent schools at this inaugural event on October 6 – 7 for 30 independent schools from 14 cities and four states. Presentations consist of the following: Starting at The Top: Building Relationships to Advance Equity and Inclusion; In Times Like This: Trends and Mindsets for Equity Leadership; and The Role of DEI in the ISAS Accreditation Process. The planning committee includes Yvonne Adams, St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Austin; Dr. Gene Batiste, St. Johns’ School in Houston; Dr. Karen Bradberry, Greenhill School; Dr. Elizabeth Goatley, Episcopal School of Dallas; and Chaired by Hockaday’s Director of Inclusion and Community, Tresa Wilson. Attendees will enjoy a variety of programming highlighting the latest research and trends for creating successful independent schools in the Southwest.
