Daisy Den After-School Care

Daisy Den is Hockaday’s after-school program that offers Middle School Daisies in Grades 5 – 8 the opportunity to participate with peers in a safe, supervised, and nurturing environment. Directed by Dara Williams, Daisy Den provides activities that include designated homework time, indoor and outdoor activities, and opportunities to socialize and build relationships with fellow classmates. A daily snack is provided.

This fall, Daisy Den will now include all Middle School grades, including Grades 7 and 8, as the library will not be an after-school option for Middle School Daisies this fall. This will allow Hockaday’s Health Center to conduct contact tracing, if necessary, amidst after-school activities. Registration for Grades 7 and 8 is organized by athletic seasons for Daisies participating in sports. Dismissal options will include 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Grades 7 and 8 may register to attend Daisy Den after athletics practice until 6:00 pm. Pre-registration is required for Daisy Den and drop-ins will not be accommodated. Additional information and registration are available on the Parent Resource Board. Registration will open on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 10:00 am. The first day of Daisy Den will be Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
