Irfana Ahmed is a Dallas native and graduated from the University of Montevallo in 2019 where she was part of its first DII women's lacrosse program. She started four years at goalkeeper for the Falcons and led the Gulf South Conference in saves-per-game, total saves, and minutes in goal earning her all-conference awards during her career. Ahmed joined the University of Dallas women's lacrosse coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach in 2020-22 and completed two seasons helping the Crusaders. Academically, she earned a place in the all-conference honor roll consecutively for four years. In 2019, Ahmed earned a Bachelor's of Science in Political Science with minors in Pre-Law, Human Rights and Public Service, and Social Work from the University of Montevallo. In 2022, she completed a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Dallas. Locally, Ahmed coached for LoveJoy lacrosse's youth program during the 2021 season before joining Hockaday youth in 2022. In addition, Ahmed oversees goalies for Dallas based club team, GRIT.
