Hockaday welcomed Brittani Carter-Durant Hite '05 to campus on Friday to speak to students about making an impact in the world during the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr./One Hockaday celebration.
Brittani established Ethos Equity Consulting to identify systemic obstacles to justice and resolve them
through sustainable, human-centered strategies. As the social impact firm’s founder and strategic director, Brittani incorporates more than a decade of project management, marketing, outreach and communication experience from Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations. Her background managing a portfolio of large-scale capital improvement projects, conceptualizing and implementing strategies that connect people to initiatives, and uncovering opportunities for increased intentionality elevates Ethos Equity
Consulting’s offerings. In every aspect of her work Brittani strives to catalyze collective liberation from unjust and discriminatory practices.

Brittani’s lived experiences, professional background and education are critical components of Ethos Equity’s strategic approach that combines theory and practice. Brittani has led outreach and engagement on monumental Dallas projects including Harold Simmons Park, the Southern Gateway Deck Park, and the City of Dallas' first Racial Equity Plan Framework. She is a Hockaday lifer, graduate of the University of Missouri with degrees in Communication and Business, and is certified in Leadership Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Northwestern University and Social Impact Strategy from Penn.
