Middle School Robotics Advance to State Championship

Congratulations to the four Hockaday FIRST LEGO League teams who qualified for and competed in the North Texas Championships in February.
At Adamson, Power Pandas (Jenny Chu, Hannah Park, Natalia Salem, Sophia Salem, Ira Sirohi) won Second Place Core values award and Might-ochondria (Kavya Chava, Miranda Chen, Michelle Cheng, Ameya Indaram, Sara Sidi, Connie Zhao) won Third Place Champion award.  At Cleburne, Daisies Energized (Aiza Ali, Joyce Jin, Sudha Kodem, Evie Lewis, Cate Strom, Kayla Zhang) won First Place Core values, Flower Powered (Cecilia Chen, Siena Ebert, Virginia Epperson, Margaret Hohenshelt, Kashmira Kuloor, Naisha Randhar) won First Place Robot Design award, and Mrs. Laura Baker won the Coaches Award. The top 16 North Texas teams (4% of competitors) earned a spot at the March State Championship. All four Hockaday teams earned a coveted spot at State! Seventh grade Daisies Energized member Evie Lewis aptly noted: “Mrs. Baker, this means that 25% of the teams representing our region at State are Hockaday teams!” Go Hockaday!!
