Eighth Grade Graphic Novels

Eighth Graders headed to McShan Elementary in November to hear from illustrator AG Ford and interview McShan students for their graphic novel project, “Discovering Our Superpowers with McShan Elementary.”
Hockaday girls played word games with McShan students and asked questions that would illuminate the McShan students’ “superpowers” – talents, skills, or traits that set them apart. Then, students headed back to campus and worked in groups to design graphic novel pages celebrating each McShan student by creatively depicting his/her unique superpower. The class will publish their graphic novels in the spring!
