Eclipse Programming

On April 8, Dallas will experience a total solar eclipse. This once-in-a-lifetime event will occur during school hours, and faculty are preparing a special day of education and viewing for our students. Leading up to the day, teachers, visiting astronomers, members of the Middle School Stars Club, and the Upper School Astronomy Class will educate our students on the eclipse and how to safely view it. Hockaday has purchased safety glasses for everyone on campus, and teachers will assist students during their dedicated viewing time. We will provide more information in the days leading up to the eclipse.
