A Message from Security: ID Badges

All Middle and Upper School students are issued an ID badge, a critical component for accessing select campus buildings through main entrance points at any time they are on campus. This system is pivotal to our campus safety, establishing a controlled access environment that significantly enhances security for everyone. Unfortunately, many students are not reporting lost or broken badges, nor are they consistently carrying them on their person. This significantly undermines the effectiveness of our controlled access system and diverges from the best practices essential for maintaining campus security.

We urgently ask for your assistance in ensuring your student understands the importance of their ID badge. Please help us by making sure your student consistently carries her ID badge. If the badge is lost, damaged, or malfunctioning, your student must report it to their respective divisional office immediately. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jeff Arrington, Director of Safety and Security at jarrington@hockaday.org
