2024-25 Allman Fellows

We are excited to welcome the 2024–25 Allman Fellows, Dr. Twila Moon, Deputy Lead Scientist and Science Communication Liaison at the National Snow and Ice Data Center, and Dr. Heïdi Sevestre, Glaciologist, Speaker, and Author, to campus on Monday, April 14.
 
During their time on campus, they will speak with Seventh and Eighth Grade students about climate change in a session titled “Frozen Worlds: From Glaciers to Your Backyard” and will visit a Sixth Grade science classroom. They will speak at the Upper School assembly on “Cool Adventures: From Polar Ice to Our Backyards” and will facilitate a Climate Science and Collaborate Challenge with select Form I students, who will work with students from Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School and students from Young Women’s STEAM Academy.
 
In addition, Dr. Moon and D. Sevestre will present “Our Shared Future: Creating Better Outcomes for Ice and Us” to parents on Monday, April 14, from 8:30 – 9:30 am in Clements Lecture Hall. Please register here to attend.
