Lower School Partners With Research Project

Pre-K and Third Grade students are exploring “STEMs Do Specialize! – The Oak Tree Project,” a hands-on research partnership with Baylor Scott & White Research Institute and the Texas A&M College of Medicine.
Across four interactive sessions, students meet medical students, build body systems, learn about nutrition and exercise, and discover how doctors help keep us healthy. On day one, students stepped into A Day in the Life of a Doctor, meeting real medical students, asking thoughtful questions, and discovering that science and medicine are for them.

Through hands-on learning, stories, and imaginative play, our girls are beginning to see themselves as future doctors, scientists, and innovators.
