Game Highlights

The 81s showed continued improvement with a nice effort against a tough Parish Episcopal team. Megan Bolden handled the ball well against full court pressure and took advantage of the aggressive defense by driving to the basket, and creating many scoring opportunities. Arden Youngblood and Rozzie Killingstad played tough defense that limited Parish's top scorers. Hockaday had a a one point lead after the first quarter, and the score was tied 14-14 at halftime. Parish pulled ahead to a six point lead after three quarters, but Hockaday quickly narrowed the deficit to start the fourth. Ultimately, Parish was able to cling to the lead, hitting free throws and a couple of key baskets down the stretch. Scoring for Hockaday were Kylie Guthrie with ten, Megan Bolden with nine, and Katri Niemi, Arden Youngblood, and Rozzie Killingstad all with two.
