Crew Wraps Up the Season in OKC

A select group of 13 rowers traveled to the Central Region Championships in Oklahoma City May 4-5. This regatta brings all the clubs and school in a 9 state region together to fight for the title of Regional Champion and, possibly, qualify for the Yoth National Championships. The Varsity Quad of Claire Noble, Raquel Hazbun, Peyton LeBlanc, and Elizabeth Michel made their grand final, showing great technique while placing 6th. The first Novice Quad of Manisha Ratakonda, Felicity Henderson, Grace Calavan, and Emma Winson also made the Grand Final, falling short of a medal in 4th place. The girls' effort was tremedous, having led the Olympic-distance 2,000 meter race for 800 meters. They were only defeated by much larger club programs.
