4th Annual Celebrity Spelling Bee
On Thursday, February 25, Liza Lee will be a Coach for the 4th annual Reading Partners Celebrity Spelling Bee, and the Hockaday community is invited to attend. The Bee combines corporate support, community engagement and media attention to support Reading Partners' literacy intervention program. Reading Partners recruits and trains volunteers to provide one-on-one literacy tutoring to students reading significantly below grade level. During the 2014-15 school year, 90% of students increased their monthly rates of literacy learning. In the 2015-16 school year, Reading Partners will provide customized, volunteer-led instruction to over 1,000 students in the North Texas community. Please click here for details about the Bee.
