Cross-country runs against a strong field in Denton

Tina Slinker
The Hockaday Varsity and JV teams ran strong against a tough field at the Marcus I Invitational in Denton.  Varsity placed 8th out of 32 teams; Adoette Vaughan crossed the line in 2nd place out of 229 runners with Caroline Forbess, Lizzie Raff, Bailey Brand, and Ellie Newman as other top five team finishers.  The JV team ran well despite being a little light with all Form I students still resting from their trip to Mo Ranch.  Amanda Peppard, Yiwen Yang, Amanda Yang, Ashna Ahuja, and Kate Short were our top five JV finishers.  Great job Daisies!
