A Message from Terry Murray

Dear Upper School Families,
Happy New Year! It has been great to see the students, faculty and staff return to school. Even though it is often hard to return after a break, I’m so amazed by the energy and spirit of the Hockaday community. There is a lot to look forward to in the spring semester, and I want to highlight a few items of interest.

The end of Second Quarter and First Semester is Friday, January 12. Grades will be turned in by faculty on Monday, January 22 and posted for students and parents on Wednesday, January 24.  Feedback will be published in My BackPack for students and parents on Thursday, February 1.
The Parent Coffee on Friday, January 26 in Clements will be for Form III “Planning for Senior Year”. This coffee will be led by Form IV Dean, Rebekah Calhoun, and me. It is an opportunity for us to talk through the decisions you will be making over the next six months that have the greatest impact on the senior experience. Rebekah brings a wealth of experience and insight that will enrich your conversations at home.

Other Dates:
Form I and Form II Parent Coffee with College Counseling – Wednesday, January 24.
Upper School Conference Day – Wednesday, January 31.

Have a great weekend!
Terry Murray
