Inclement Weather Process

As part of Hockaday's normal operating procedures, the School monitors the National Weather Service reports. In the event of potential inclement weather in the area, and if there are any changes to planned activities or to normal dismissal times, the School will notify the community by both text message and email.

In the event of late evening or overnight freezing precipitation which would cause hazardous driving conditions, the community will be notified no later than 6:00 am before the start of the school day as to whether the campus will be closed or if there will be a late start that day. If the School closes for part of or the entire day, we will inform you about the reopening of the campus.

As always, the safety and security of our community is our top priority, and we will continue to monitor the weather and keep you updated about any changes to the school day.
