Science and Social Impact in Lower School

Third Graders are enjoying a brand-new class this year, Science and Social Impact (SSI).
Team-taught by science and social studies faculty as well as a member of the #socialimpact team, SSI combines the Third Grade Social Impact theme (food insecurity) with science! Topics include exploring the impact (physical and emotional) of food insecurity on kids, and the science of nutrition—why do we need food, what does food do in our bodies, and how are our bodies and minds affected by a lack of food?
