30 Students Named National Merit Commended Scholars
Hockaday proudly recognizes the 30 students from the Class of 2026 who have been selected as Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship program.
These students are among 34,000 high schoolers recognized throughout the nation as part of the top 50,000 scoring students who entered the competition by taking the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The Commended Scholars are: Sadie Abbott, Morgan Bowers, Cortney Buford, Mimi Davison, Deniz Gurun, Anne Marie Helfrich, Ai-Vy Ho, Aimee Hsu, Grace Jiang, Tanvi Joshi, Georgia La Grone, Megan Li, Audrey Liu, Sophia Lou, Aneeka Misra, Sarah Moskowitz, Aanya Naini, Alice Navarro, Madilyn Nguyen, Fendley Obert, Yolanda Pan, Leela Philip, Riya Sangapu, Vicky Santana, Ellery Works, Angela Yan, Aadhya Yanamadala, Evelyn Yau, Sophie Zhan, and Alina Zheng.
