Middle School Orchestra

Congratulations to our Middle School Orchestra daisies! These talented students earned prestigious playing positions in the 2026 Middle School Honor Orchestra of the Texas Private Schools Music Educators Association (TPSMEA).

Their journey began last fall as they prepared challenging etudes and competed with orchestra students from private schools across Texas. At 7 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, they traveled to The Brook Hill School to rehearse with fellow honorees and, under the baton of guest conductor Maestro Chengyin Lu, presented a captivating and successful concert. Mr. Lu is not only an outstanding conductor, but also a proud Hockaday Lower School dad.

We celebrate these young musicians for their talent, passion for music, dedication to practice, and commitment to excellence.
