28 Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

The Hockaday School proudly recognizes 28 students who will advance as semifinalists in the 72nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program, a national academic competition for recognition and scholarship that began in 1955.
 
 
 
Hockaday semifinalists include Cecilia Chen, Miranda Chen, Sophie Cho, Anusha Chowdhary, Siena Ebert, Lily Fishkin, Makeda Flanders, Leila Hulme, Emanuela Kang, Shreya Kirumaki, Kashmira Kuloor, Shea LeRosen, Betty Liu, Abigail Mau, Ruhi Mehta, Maya Menon, Carolyn Mitchell, Kaitlyn Ouyang, Christine Park, Marilyn Paul, Aryaa Sachdev, Natalia Salem, Sophia Salem, Lauren Schwartz, Lucia Ubinas, Audrey Zambrano, Vivian Zhou, and Christina Zhu.
 
These girls were chosen from approximately 1.3 million juniors in more than 22,000 high schools by taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
