A Note from Randal Rhodus

Dear Lower School Parents,

I hope you are all still feeling rested after Spring Break. Your daughters are excited to be back at school and are looking forward to all of the events of the spring - 4th grade STEAM Day and Adventure Day, the 2nd grade business field trip, the 1st grade Temples and Tombs musical, and the PreK Circus - just to name a few.

On Tuesday, all Lower School girls attended one of our most favorite Lower School gatherings of the year- the visit from Animal Edutainment. Animal Edutainment is a wildlife education outreach organization that helps children develop an understanding and respect for wildlife and the world around them.

During our gathering, students were visited by the following animals native to Texas; a prairie dog, a ferret, a grey-banded king snake, a turkey vulture, a great horned owl, and an opossum.

Rye – the prairie dog
Slinky – the ferret
Luna – the great horned owl
Izod – the American alligator
Uncle Fester – the turkey vulture
Odin – the speckled king snake

Ask your daughters about these animals. I am sure they can still tell you about them!

Sincerely,

Randal Rhodus
