5th out of 18th teams "Waxahachie Woodhouse XC Invitational 5K"

The Hockaday cross country team competed in their opening meet of the season, the Waxahachie Woodhouse XC Invitational 5K, on Saturday, August 25.  Freshmen Leena Mehendale opened with a time of 20:19, receiving 11th place overall in the 6A-5A Varsity Girls category.  Senior Jenna Hofmann opened the season with a 21:58 leading The Hockaday Varsity team to a  5th finished out of 18 teams with an average time of 21:59 as a team.  The freshmen on varsity (Elise Little, Leena Mehendale, Ryenne Reiter, CiCi Sprouse) are showing great potential for the start of the season, running hard and strong.  The Hockaday JV team received 6th out of 15 teams.
