Hockaday vs All Saint

The Hockaday Varsity field hockey team defeated All Saints today to earn it’s first win.  In just it’s third game of the season, the team moved the ball well on soggy field conditions.  Evan Johnston connected for the first goal  with an assist from Meg Wilson.  The team headed into halftime with a 1-0 lead and were focused on connections and communication for the second half.  With a little more than 10 minutes left in the game, Izzy Shadle cut back to intercept an All Saints pass and was able to get the ball into the circle to Evan Johnston.  Johnston sent the ball across the goal and Margaret Woodberry was able to connect for the 2nd score of the game.  Graydon Paul and Meg Wilson had great defensive games and Emma Schnitzius had 6 saves in the goal.
