Hockaday Vs FWCD

The Hockaday Varsity field hockey team defeated FWCDS to earn its second counter win of the season.  The first half of the game was played mostly in the midfield with Hockaday getting 3 shots on goal and FWCDS only one shot.  It wasn’t until 16 minutes into the second half that Hockaday got on the board with a goal from Izzy Shadle.  JoJo Gum started the play when she stepped up at the 50-yard line to win the ball.  She passed to Maddy Charest who was able to get the ball to Shadle in the circle.  Izzy dribbled across the circle and hit a hard drive into the goal!  It was a team effort from there to hold onto the lead and secure the win.
