Hockaday vs Houston Christian

The Hockaday Varsity field hockey team got off to a strong start in the 2018 SPC tournament with a 4-0 win over Houston Christian.  The scoring started halfway through the first half when Emilia Callahan connected with Margaret Woodberry to put Hockaday ahead 1-0.  Woodberry scored her 2nd goal two minutes later when she took a hard shot from the top of the circle.  Hockaday led 2-0 at the half and quickly added to the lead just six minutes into the second half.  Shea Duffy carried the ball hard into the circle and hit towards goal where Ava Berger was there to put the ball in the back of the cage.  Closing out the scoring was Reid Cohen finishing on a beautiful pass into the circle by Minje Kwun.  It was team effort tonight and the team is ready for Round 2 of the tournament.
